How do I send my film to you?
We use USPS Ground Advantage, it’s the lowest price on the market. Be sure to package your film in a bubble mailer. Paper envelopes rip and film gets lost! We currently don’t have a system in place that notifies you when your package arrives (there are only 3 of us here - we’re a nimble group). Keep your tracking, we answer a lot of “is my film there” emails. Side note - please don’t send Airtags with your package :(

WRITE YOUR ORDER NUMBER ON OR IN THE PACKAGE - this helps us identify your package quickly!
what IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME?
** PLEASE KEEP YOUR TRACKING - WHEN THE PACKAGE SAYS DELIVERED IT IS IN OUR POSSESSION **
There are several things that determine turn around. What film stock are you shooting? What scan type are you choosing? How many different film stocks did you send… i.e., BW/C41/ECN2/E6… these stocks all have their own process therefore some take more time than others.
C41 + Noritsu Scan - 5-7 Business Days (we usually beat that)
BW/ECN (hand processes) - 7-10 Business Days
E6 - We run E6 when we have enough rolls to mix chems. Depending on the workload and how much we receive it could be anywhere from 10-20 Business Days. If you send other stocks with E6 you will receive those scans as they complete.
CINEMA SCAN & DSLR SCAN are very lengthy processes - there is zero automation to these scan types. They take time to complete and therefore can add some time to receiving your scans.
Tell me about your scans?
We have several scan types available.
Cinema - 35mm can be scanned on our motion picture scanner (BlackMagic Cintel) which is quite a bit different from traditional stills scanners. Your images will be delivered “flat” which means they will need to be edited using your favorite photo editing software to add contrast and saturation. Images are approximately 6000x4000px TIFFs.
Noritsu HS1800 - for both 35mm & Medium Format. The Noritsu is a pretty standard stills scanner you’ll find in most labs. We’ve dialed our profile in so your scans have a beautiful look with loads of latitude. Check the Noritsu page for pixel sizes as they vary!
Camera/DSLR - scanning both 35mm (with borders) & Medium Format (with borders) on the Sony A7rIV 61MP camera.
How Do I Get My Files
Scans are uploaded via PicFlow. When you receive your link you can view/download easily on mobile. The preferred method of download is in the upper right hand corner of the page which allows you to download all of your images in their folders at one on a computer.
How does shipping work
When checking out for develop and scan services you’ll notice a shipping charge. This charge is for returning your negatives. If you want us to dispose of your negatives choose local pickup and put a note in the package. Shipping your film to us is on you.
